Equib Planning provided planning services throughout the project lifecycle including regular review and feedback on the main contractor's programme.

Project:

The Stratford-upon-Avon Parkway Station project involved the construction of a new railway station adjacent to the existing bus-based Park-and-Ride facility in Bishopton, near Stratford-upon-Avon. Vehicular access to the new station was designed as a common access with the existing Park-and-Ride. The station additionally includes disabled parking, a taxi rank and passenger drop-off/pick-up facilities, as well as a dedicated pedestrian and cycle link from Bishopton Lane.

Services:

The initial early planning support provided by ourselves resulted in early award of the construction contract, bringing forward the opening date of the new station by seven months, to May 2013. We assisted the County Council in the identification of key WCC and Network Rail interfaces particularly in the permanent and temporary works designs and NR work package plan approvals. This enabled the client to identify where key approval periods needed to be prioritized and avoid and mitigate any delay to the construction programme.
