The scheme extended the existing Wolverhampton to Birmingham tram line to run through Birmingham City Centre from the old terminus at Snow Hill to New Street Station.

This project has brought trams back to the centre of Birmingham, linking Snow Hill Station and New Street Station with 0.7 miles of new line through the busy central shopping area.

Our planning team were utilised by Balfour Beatty Construction Services to review the delivery programme post contract award. We succeeded in updating the previously rejected programme and obtaining an Accepted Clause 32 programme to deliver the scheme.
The project had encountered early change and delays so our delay analysis experience was utilised to produce a comprehensive explanation of the effects of change upon the programme. Our graphics and reports enabled the client to agree an Extension of Time and associated costs during the delivery phase.
